Guanacaste Beaches
Some of the most beautiful beaches and amazing eco-diversity you'll ever see.
Guanacaste is known for its miles and miles of white sandy beaches that line the entire north Pacific coastline of Costa Rica. Along this coast are various towns and villages each with its own particular personality. Some are bustling tourist towns, others are sleepy fishing villages, some are quiet surfing havens, and some are quiet residential towns, but all of them have some of the most beautiful beaches you'll ever sink your toes into. And like all of Costa Rica, the eco-diversity in the area is amazing. You'll find one of the nicest, white sandy beaches you'll find anywhere in Flamingo, and further down the coast there's the clear and calm waters of Conchal. And everywhere there's surfing hot spots like Playa Negra and Playa Grande which are not for the faint of heart. There are various protected areas throughout Guanacaste where public traffic is all but cut off at certain times of the year, usually to allow turtle and other species to thrive.
